Sinatec, founded in 2007 in Oosterhout, Noord-Brabant, is a key player in the automotive industry. Starting as an importer and distributor of small consumables, the company has grown into a trusted supplier for wholesalers and car companies across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and England. With a strong focus on efficiency and scalability, Sinatec continues to expand its offerings while supporting the evolving needs of the automotive market.

With over 200,000 SKUs, including more than 55,000 in their webshop, Sinatec faced challenges in managing product data at scale. The increasing demand for detailed product specifications made it difficult for the team to keep their information up to date and accurate. Managing such a vast array of SKUs manually was time-consuming and placed additional pressure on employees, limiting their ability to focus on higher-level tasks.

Sinatec had previously implemented a different PIM system to manage their data, but it had significant limitations.

Our previous PIM system required a lot of technical knowledge. It wasn’t user-friendly, and the interface made it difficult to work with. That’s when we realized we needed a better solution that would be easier for our team to use.

KatanaPIM became the centralized hub for all of Sinatec’s article data. "Katana is the source for all our article data, and it's nice to manage everything in one system, spread across multiple team roles and authorities. This makes it clear and scalable," added Thomas. By using KatanaPIM, Sinatec was able to create role-based access for team members, making their product management process clear and efficient.

Currently, three people at Sinatec actively use the system, with others logging in when necessary. The smooth onboarding process was largely due to the company's well-organized data prior to migration:

Sinatec is currently focused on launching their new webshop, with KatanaPIM playing a central role in ensuring product data is efficiently managed and up to date. The company is excited to leverage KatanaPIM’s capabilities to streamline processes and provide customers with a smooth online experience.

In addition to their current integration with the webshop, Sinatec is exploring future possibilities for expanding the system’s functionality. 

In the future, we’d like to integrate with more platforms. The workflow feature is very promising, and we're looking forward to improvements in areas like bulk editing and data querying.
